主讲人简介
Renata Geld, associate professor, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, University of Zagreb. She is an (applied) cognitive linguist, teacher trainer, and cognitive scientist. Her areas of research, teaching and interest are the following: cognitive learning strategies and meaning construal, conceptualization and language of the blind, creativity and emergent innovation, learning experience, interdisciplinarity and pedagogy in higher education.

Assessing writing in a second language (L2) can be challenging. Teachers often struggle to maintain objectivity and may resort to grading students' work solely based on the number of grammar mistakes. Conversely, students frequently lack clarity regarding the task's objectives and the specific criteria used for evaluation. This presentation aims to address key steps in designing and effectively assessing writing tasks for middle-school students. It offers fundamental theoretical insights and practical guidelines, all illustrated with real-life examples.
